Rosie is a freelance saxophonist currently based in London. She performs regularly in many different styles and settings across the UK and internationally as a multi-saxophonist.
Rosie graduated from university having studied saxophone with Anna Brooks, and majored in conducting under Daniele Rosina. She has had a varied and exciting career, covering many genres from classical and big band jazz, to Drum and Bass and Club Classics. She performs in groups of all shapes and sizes, from a solo act and duos with DJs, to functions bands and a full orchestra.
Some acts and artists who she has had the pleasure of performing with include The English Beat, DJ Hype (with Symphonica ft. Mr Switch) and Sonique (Birmingham Gay Symphony Orchestra). She’s also played at such venues as Birmingham Symphony Hall, Warwick Castle, Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, and internationally at Melkweg in Amsterdam and Joali Maldives.
As well as playing, Rosie writes and arranges horn sections for various different lineups and settings, including function bands, saxophone quartets, and original artists. She has recently been doing session work with new and upcoming artists from across the London music scene.
Her current activities include a permanent seat on baritone saxophone with Me&3 Quartet, and regular appearances with Fully Funktional, and with the house band at The Piano Works.
Rosie is a flexible musician, and adapts her playing to suit whatever mood her colleagues and clients require. She is happy to set the mood for anything from classy cocktail evenings to big nights out!
She also teaches woodwind (saxophone, clarinet, flute and recorder) and piano in London and online.
She is a member of the Musicians' Union (MU) and has an Enhanced DBS Check.
